The Alameda Blaze Tournament Teams operate under AGSA.  The Blaze Subcommittee of the Board of Directors will develop and approve the administration and rules outlined in the document below to provide guidance to the Alameda Blaze Tournament Teams.  It shall be the responsibility of the Blaze Director to oversee and execute on the administration and rules for the Alameda Blaze Tournament Teams.

What is B-Select?

B-Select is a hybrid Recreation/Tournament program under USA Softball (AGSA's official association) that allows for players to play with their recreation league while also playing tournament level softball in the spring.  Local leagues can decide whether teams play recreation along with tournament.

What are the fees for B-Select?

The fees for the Spring season run ~ $500-800 for 10U + 12U. Final fees will depend on the number of players and costs. This fee includes uniforms, bat bags, tournament entry fees for the Spring tournaments, insurance, and team equipment. Summer fees for players who continue to play into the summer will be an additional $500 - $800 to cover the cost of summer tournaments and field fees. Costs can be offset by team fundraising. The 10U players will receive a credit for recreation league fees.


We expect that most players who play for the spring and/or summer will also continue to play in the fall as the Blaze teams have historically done. More to come about the fall season once tryouts and teams are formed.
