BLAZE ADMINISTRATION
The Alameda Blaze Tournament Teams operate under AGSA. The Blaze Subcommittee of the Board of Directors will develop and approve the administration and rules outlined in the annual Blaze Plan to provide guidance to the Alameda Blaze Tournament Teams. It shall be the responsibility of the Blaze Director to oversee and execute on the administration and rules for the Alameda Blaze Tournament Teams.
The Blaze program is comprised of the following board members:

BLAZE TEAM FORMATS
For all levels: Tryouts will occur each season*; each team roster carries 12-14 players per season
Blaze A:
Spring/Summer/Fall:
- Teams are year around open tournament play
- Open to any/all players interested to tryout and selected for team

Blaze B:
Spring:
- Spring interleague play - tournaments are TBD based on schedule
- Players register for tryout in recreational league but will not play recreational league season - any/all players can register for the recreational league and express interest to tryout for this team for Spring season
Summer:
- Tournament only play; Summer tournaments will be either open or USA Softball B tournaments (assuming is still “B” team after Spring season)
- Players are eligible to tryout from AGSA Spring recreational league and Spring interleague team
Fall:
- Fall tournaments will be open tournaments
- Any and all players are eligible to tryout (i.e., no recreational league requirements)

Blaze TBD (if there is a third team will be B or C depending on classification):
Summer:
- Tournament only play; Summer tournaments will be either open or USA Softball B/C tournaments
- Players are eligible to tryout from AGSA Spring recreational league; typically players who tryout and don’t make B team will form a C team
Fall:
- Fall tournaments will be open tournaments
- Any and all players are eligible to tryout (i.e., no recreational league requirements)
*Roster Spots on any team are not guaranteed season to season; all athletes should be prepared to earn their spot on a roster season to season. In extenuating circumstances the Program VP has discretion to change process e.g., no Fall season tryout (for one/all teams).
Tryouts timing: Spring teams = Nov/Dec // Summer teams = last weekend in April // Fall teams = late July/early August
